This presentation will begin with a basic overview of cost analysis, defining terms and approaches to analyzing costs, including commonly used formulas.  We will then discuss the costs associated with a finishing operation including current market information on major cost factors such as wage rates and paint costs. Finally, we will look at real world examples of determining paint costs with emphasis on the relationships between specific cost variables and their effect on the overall finishing cost. At the conclusion of the presentation, a hands-on exercisewill allow attendees to have an opportunity to determine the finishing costs for several parts. Results will be shared as part of a group discussion to close the session .
